Biomaxing

Biomaxing is the practice of maximizing biological health through organic routines that sustain your system in its optimal operating envelope. Like many things in life, health follows the Pareto Principle; 80% of the results come from the most important 20%.

The idea is simple.
Every single molecule, cell, and system in your body is created and maintained by only 3 inputs:

  • What you ingest
  • What you absorb
  • What you inhale

Maximize the good, minimize the poison, and your system will naturally maximize itself.

Ingestion

  • Eat real food
  • Drink high-quality water
  • Minimize seed oils (canola/vegetable/rapeseed, soybean, peanut, sunflower)
  • Minimize refined sugars (high-fructose corn syrup, glucose-fructose, sucrose)
  • Minimize contact between food and hormone-disrupting plastics
    • replace plastic food storage containers with glass
    • replace plastic food bags with silicone or fabric wraps
    • replace plastic bottles and cups with stainless steel or glass
    • replace plastic cooking utensils with wood, stainless steel, or silicone
    • use pots, pans, and cutlery made with high-quality stainless steel
      • use non-stick at moderate temperatures when required
    • plastics are least harmful when:
      • used at room temperature or below
      • storing dry or solid foods
  • Fast for 24-72 hours; ideally annually but at least every 3-5 years
    • Activates autophagy to clean up unhealthy and damaged/cancerous cells
    • Improves insulin response and blood sugar balance
    • Increases regenerative stem cell activity
    • Releases growth hormone (HGH)

Absorption

  • Go outside
  • Expose eyes to morning and evening sunlight in regular doses
  • Expose skin to direct sunlight in reasonable doses
  • Brush teeth with nanohydroxyapatite toothpaste to rebuild and maintain enamel
  • Minimize exposure to hormone-disrupting chemicals in personal care products
  • Minimize exposure to hormone-disrupting plastic fabrics
    • Plastic fabrics: polyester, spandex/elastane, nylon, fleece
    • Natural fabrics: cotton, wool, linen, silk
    • Semi-natural fabrics: rayon/viscose, Modal, Tencel/lyocell

Inhalation

  • Move
  • Go outside
  • Aside from exertion or congestion, 99% of breathing should be done through the nose
    • Mouth breathing has detrimental effects on dental/oral health, facial structure, and sleep
    • Resting position for tongue should be pressed against palate (roof) as if saying the letter 'n'
    • This seals the airway but may require conscious practice before it becomes default
    • Consider mouth taping if unable to retain proper posture while sleeping
  • Minimize inhalation of VOCs and anything that smells strong or "chemical"
    • All fragrance: cologne, perfume, candles, air fresheners
    • Aerosol sprays and cleaning products
    • Fuels, solvents, petroleum products
